Creating a Topic Heading

You use topic headings in your Web page just as you would in a paper or report -- to organize text into different sections and indicate where each section begins and ends. With Claris Home Page, you have a choice of six sizes of topic headings.

To create a topic heading, follow these instructions:

  1. Open Claris Home Page, if it's not already open.
  2. Open the page in which you want to add a heading.
  3. Click where you want the heading to appear.
  4. Choose a heading size (1 through 6) from the format pop-up menu.
  5. Type the text you want to use for your heading.
  6. Choose Save from the File menu.
  7. Choose Preview in Browser from the File menu to see how the new heading looks.

Tips

Bullet

You can change the heading size any time you want by choosing a different size from the format pop-up menu. Make sure the insertion point (the vertical blinking bar) is in the heading before you change its size.

Bullet

Major headings (Heading 1 and Heading 2) often look best when they're centered.
