Welcome to OpenSolaris 2010.03
Why use the OpenSolaris OS you ask? It's pretty simple, you'll find it full of unique features to suit the developer and the deployer like the Image Packaging System (IPS), the ZFS filesystem, and Crossbow for network virtualization and resource management. When you are ready to deploy, OpenSolaris has the world-record performance you want and the reliability you need.
Your system will automatically try to connect to a network if you have one available, using both wired and wireless access modes. The network connection is managed through the network auto-magic daemon. If you wish to configure your network manually, check the nwamd(1) man page for instructions for how to disable this.
