WAVEFORM SHORTCUTS

To scroll through the waveform: Position the pointer over a nonselected area of the waveform, hold down the Option Key, press the mouse button, and drag.

To insert blank space (silence): Hold down the Command Key, press the mouse button, and drag to the right.

To move the selection to a new location: Hold down the Command and Option Keys and drag the selection to a new location.

To duplicate a selection: Hold down the Option Key and drag the copy to a new location.

To switch between dotted and lined waveforms: Hold down the Control Key and click the waveform.

To view the length in seconds or kilobytes (K): Click on the Length indicator.

To check the recording level: Hold down the Command key and click the Input Signal control (same as choosing Check Level from the Edit menu).

To check the memory available to record: Position the pointer over the text below the Record button and press the mouse button.

LABEL SHORTCUTS

To move a label: Hold down the Option key, position the pointer over the label, press the mouse button, and drag to a new location.

To change the color of a label: Hold down the Command key, position the pointer on the label, press the mouse button, and choose a color from the pop-up menu.

To extend the size of a label: Select the label, position the pointer outside the selection, press the Shift key, and click.


GAUGE SHORTCUTS

To scale the waveform to fit in the window: Double-click the text below the Scale gauge.

To return the pitch to normal: Double-click the text below the Pitch gauge.


MENU SHORTCUTS

To save all of the open documents: Hold down the Option key when choosing the Save command from the File menu.

To close all of the open documents: Hold down the Option key and choose the Close command from the File menu.


KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

Play/Stop - Loop On/Off
Rewind - Fast-forward
Zoom In - Zoom Out
Move to left - Move to right
Increase Volume - Select Next Label
Decrease Volume - Select Previous Label


MIXER SHORTCUTS

To change a block: Hold down the Command key and click on the desired block. Choose the appropriate option from the pop-up menu that appears.

To delete a block: Hold down the Command and Option keys and click the desired mixer block.

To change the scale: Press Command-Up Arrow or Command-Down Arrow as an alternative to choosing a scale from the menu at the bottom of the Mixer Palette.

To change the order of the sounds: Position the pointer over the sound you wish to move. Press the mouse button and keep it held down for a second or so. Notice that an insertion point is shown above the sound name. Now drag the sound up or down to the position of your choice.

To show or hide the Play and Envelope Point buttons: Click the large bold check mark in the upper left corner of the Mixer Palette.

To make more room for the sound name: Position the pointer between the Sound and Start fields. Notice that the pointer changes. Press the mouse button and drag to the left or right to change the size of the Sound field.

To make the waveforms taller: Position the pointer on the line between any two sound names, press the mouse button, and drag the separator bar to the desired position.
