2G (First digital) has been shutdown in Canada since late 2010s. 1G (Analog) was shut decades ago. 3G is being shutdown nationwide in mid 2020s. This will include early 4G phones that predate VoLTE for Canada (2015). Also includes any phone that is not supported by your carrier but does support VoLTE ↦ 5G, like phones that were originally sold outside of Canada (even phones that have local versions).
