Get mednafen to use SoundBlaster G3 sound Card:

If there is no audio with mednafen on a device with a externel sound card, run this command in the terminal:

mednafen -sound.device hw:1

It should work now (it would give an error that there is no game, just ignore it and open mednafen in its GUI).
