Update portage:

1. Update Gentoo portage repository first by: sudo emaint -a sync
2. Then emerge the source packages by: sudo emerge -avuDN @world
3. Update any new configuration files by: sudo dispatch-conf
4. Remove any old packages by: sudo emerge --depclean
5. May need to switch profiles manually after some updates (like for kernel)
