To install Google Earth Pro on Catchy Linux (as well as Arch Linux):

Download the rpm version,
https://www.google.com/earth/about/versions/download-thank-you/
exstract it, and only the opt folders contents you move to the install location. Do not install the etc or usr directories.

Also install this package: sudo pacman -S libxml2-legacy

Also, edit the "/opt/google/earth/pro/google-earth-pro.desktop" file to have the icon point to "/opt/google/earth/pro/product_logo_256.png". Then install the desktop file to "~/.local/share/applications"
