Dangers of mixing and matching RAM and dual-channel:

You need to have ram sticks that exactly say there done in a pair, can't mix and match ram to achieve dual channel support.
So I cant just buy another ram stick and expect to operate normally, dual channel ram come in pairs that work with each other.
